It's all about me!

Poppy is a very lovable girl once she gets to know you. She can find some situations a little stressful at first so just needs gentle reassurance as she is very young and has had a tough start to life after being found abandoned at such a young age.
Poppy is a quick learner and is keen to please her human. The shepherd traits are intelligence, devotion & loyalty so we know she will bond quickly and settle just fine resulting in a faithful companion. Poppy can be choosy as to which dogs she likes and dislikes in a kennel environment as most of the dog’s in kennels will bark at passing dogs, so with careful introductions outside of that environment and with friendly dogs it would prove to be good boost for her confidence and enrich her life.
Poppy is a lovely girl to walk and she has melted the hearts of the kennel staff where she has been staying.
TAG would be happy to see Poppy go into foster or foster with view to adopt.

Application

We read all applications and get in touch with those that look like a good match for one of our dogs.

Home check

If your application looks like a good match we will contact you to arrange a home visit - this is a mandatory part of adopting.

Meet and greet

Once the home visit is complete we will arrange for you to meet suitable dogs.

Adoption and post adoption support

We love to see updates about how the dogs are getting on and we offer rescue back up for the rest of the dog’s life.

Important notes

  • All of our dogs are assessed, vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered (or will be at a time recommended by our vet) and treated for fleas and worms.

  • We re-home to Thanet and surrounding areas, (up to a 1 hour drive from Dover where many of our dogs our brought upon arrival) but will consider further afield for a dog that has very specific requirements.
