Heidi

Hello everyone! My name is Heidi and I’m told I’m a very special cat looking for a very special home.

I’m 6 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms and I am in good health.

I checked into my hotel room at TAG before Christmas 2022 and quickly made my presence known as a very difficult guest. This is not because I am a bad cat, I just felt so so frightened I thought all of the humans were going to cause me harm so I thought it’d be safer for me if I got in there first! The humans at TAG left me alone and didn’t force me to do anything I didn’t want to do. Little by little I realised that they weren’t going to hurt me so I didn’t need to defend myself and then one day I decided to go and say hello! The human looked as shocked and frightened as I did when I first arrived so I told them not to worry I wouldn’t hurt them!

Now I love to play with my toys, to roll about in the sun, to rub round the humans’ legs and to have a gentle fuss.

Before I came to Hotel TAG, I lived with one human who struggled with their mental health. Because of this I hadn’t seen any other people or really anything of the world. This is why seeing different humans scared me so much.

I am now ready to find my forever home. I will be scared when I leave Hotel TAG but I will learn that everything is ok. I will need humans who will not force me to do anything until I’m ready which will take time – months rather than days. I’ve never seen young humans, other cats or other furry creatures and I don’t want to – meeting new adult humans is quite enough for me. So, I must be the only pet in an adult only home. I would be happy as an indoor cat, the outdoors is a bit scary for my liking!
